Attrition - The Dreaded Discussion of any MLM'er

0
I use to be with a company that claimed they had
95% of their shoppers come back the following month
to shop with them.

What I failed to recognize is that they were
only referring to the month following their initial membership month.

What happened to those customers AFTER their first month?

How about their SECOND, or their THIRD month?

I'll tell you what happened.

About 1/2 of them canceled their membership
after their 3rd month.

I'd say about 3% of these people were still working the business
or shopping by month #12.

That's called 'attrition' and nobody wants to talk about it in the industry.

It takes a lot of time and effort to build a downline
and when they drop out by the truckload,
it can cause a lot of heartache and frustration.

This experience forced me to take a step back
and analyze what was really happening in my business.

Was it the products?
Was it the amount required for the monthly auto ship?
Was it my presentation?
Was it my leadership?
Was it the system I was using? (or lacking)
Was it the type of people I was targeting?

I set out on a journey and discovered something pretty interesting.

It seems attrition is quite common in the industry
and the big guys at the top use the unsuspecting newbies
to stay at the top.

You see, the average Joe will go make a list of 100-150
of their closest friends and family..... (but only talk to some of them)
.....if they haven't scared them off already with their sales pitches
for the other businesses they've been involved in.

Guess what?

If YOU decide to drop out because you just get
so darned frustrated with all the dropouts.....
the guys at the top get to KEEP your customers AND
you can't do a darn thing about it because
YOU can lose your SHORTS in court if you
talk to your customers about joining you in another MLM.

Think I'm joking?

Go back and read your policies and procedures.

(YAWN)

I know, I know. But I did it and was SHOCKED at
how many things I was unaware of.

But that's a whole other topic for another day.

Anyway, back to the topic.

Since attrition was so prevalent in MLM,
I wanted to find a system that I could use
that would bring me the most retention
so I wouldn't be wasting my precious time (or theirs)
and I could build a REAL business with REAL people
and REAL long term success.

What if I told you there is a way
to target people in such a way
that they NEVER ask you
what company you're with, what products you sell
or how well you are doing in your business?

What if I told you there is a way
to plug people into a system where
they get fed and feed THEMSELVES so they can
get their head on straight and create the SOLID foundation
that is necessary for any successful business?

What if I told you there is a way to attract QUALITY leads
that are ready to join you, cash in hand,
not because of the products......
but because they see the value and genius in the system
and LOVE YOU because YOU add value and increase to THEM?

Folks, there IS a better way to build your business
and actually KEEP your downline!

It's time to start building a business on SOLID ROCK
not on SHAKY SAND! :)

You Only Have About Three Seconds to Make That First Impression

0

We're all aware of the good ol' first impression rule of thumb:

We only have ONE chance to make a FIRST impression and
we only have about 3 seconds to do it.

But what about those of us who meet others online?
What is it that's going to establish that first impression?

Take a look around and think about it for a moment.

It's nothing short of our picture!

Our picture is the very first impression that we are
leaving in the minds of those we meet online and
I want to challenge you a bit today.

Take a little look-see at your photo and ask yourself
the following questions:

1) Do I look like someone I'd like to get to know?
2) What kind of visual message am I sending about myself?
3) What kind of energy am I giving off?
ie. powerful, fun-loving, serious, professional, negative, etc
4) Do I look like someone I'd like to partner up with in business?
5) Do I look like a leader or someone who would rather hide under a rock?
6) Do I look like I take my business seriously?
7) What kinds of things do I look like I might be interested in
based on how I'm dressed?
8) Is my photo up close and personal or am I so far away that
I'm not giving people a chance to really see who I am?
9) Am I being my authentic self in my picture? ( Meaning, you're giving
people a glimpse of who you really are and not trying to be someone
else.)
10) Is this even me in the photo?

Your picture is going to make you or break you when you are first starting out
in network marketing. Of course, there is many more pieces to the pie,
but this piece is critical.

By the way, I'd like to say something about number 10.

If you don't have a picture of yourself online
and you're using a family pet, product image or
any other type of photo where everyone can see
it's clearly NOT you....
you need to change that right away.

People will join you because of YOU,
not because of your products
or the type of dog you own
or the famous movie star you have featured.

Well, I take that back.

Dog lovers are probably going to ask you about your furry friend,
but make sure you're in the picture! :-)

It really does come down to YOU.

Who are YOU?

I want to know!

We want to know!

So if you haven't done so already,
go out there and put together a great photo
that depicts the real you and invites others to
spend some time getting to know who you are.

Like attracts like.
Period!

When the Boat Gets a Bit Rocky, Do You Have a Reason to Stay Aboard?

0
If you're new to network marketing,
you're probably hearing a lot about how important
it is to write down you 'why' for working at home.

CAUTION!

Whatever you do, don't get caught up into thinking
that you know why you're working at home and
you don't need to write it down on paper.

I can't emphasize this enough:
Having in your head is ONLY the first step!

You should write it down and put it in a place
where you will SEE it and READ it OUT LOUD every day.

You should also send a copy to someone who will
hold you accountable because let me tell you,
when the boat gets a bit rocky,
you'd better have a BIG reason to stay on board!!!

This is so important that I even wrote about it
at my website. You can check it out here:

http://www.sabrinacoffin.com/developing-your-why.html

Whether you're a newbie to network marketing
or a seasoned networker,
developing your 'why' is critical to your success!

Little Girl Behind the Lemonade Stand Doesn't Sell Rotten Lemons to Innocent People

0
Photobucket

Looking back on my childhood, I can remember being the kid
who always had some creative way of making extra cash.

It was fun to set up a lemonade stand on a hot summer day,
or have a garage sale and sell all my little things I no longer wanted.
I also went around to all my neighbors, wagon in tow,
and collected their newspapers and pop cans.

Back then we could earn some pretty good cash for recycling.

As I moved on, got married and started a family,
I was still exercising that entrepreneurial spirit inside
that told me I needed to do something for myself
and not rely on a 9-5 J.O.B.

I was always thinking of different things I could do
that would keep me AT home so I could be with my kids.

That was really important to me.

It wasn't so much the cash flow as it was the fact that
my mom was able to stay home with us and
I wanted to stay home with my kids as well.

Well, it wasn't until years down the road
that I discovered the power of residual income.

I bought the most expensive pack,
loaded up with inventory
and hit the pavement running.

Being coachable, I listened to my mentors
and made a list of over 100 people in my warm market,
set up the parties, bought the leads,
spent hours upon hours on the phone and online and......
like most people, didn't see a lot of fruit for my efforts.

My upline told me I needed to work harder.

My upline told me I needed to buy more inventory
because people will buy more if they don't have to order it.

My upline told me I needed to buy more leads
and spend more time calling them.

Oh, and my 'why' wasn't big enough
and I wasn't a leader.

Hello???

I was BORN to be a leader and
my WHY is SO big, that's the reason WHY
I've continued in this industry.

The leads were GARBAGE and most of them
didn't know why I was even calling them! lol

If I bought any more product,
my husband was going to have a heart attack!

Plus, I found myself running all over town
working my 'AT home business' and I was
spending LESS time with my family.

Boy, I sure did learn some valuable lessons!

Sound familiar?

It wasn't my fault,
and it isn't YOUR fault, either!

If this sounds anything like what you have experienced
or are currently experiencing,
I'm here to tell you there is a better way.

You CAN work AT home without wasting your time and money
on calling leads and chasing people who probably don't want the products you're selling.

You won't find me talking about products.
I only give stuff away and help people who want the help.

Yet, I have people calling me up wanting to know what I'm doing.

Hmmm.......

There IS a better way and I can show you how.

Listen, if your business isn't growing the way you originally planned,
and you're feeling like a failure or just plain frustrated,
I can help you.

Give me a call anytime.

I'm here for you!

I believe in you!

He Only Made $40 BUCKS So This Ain't No Tall Tale Fishin' Story

0
My husband fishes commercially part-time to make some extra cash.

Personally, I think he secretly goes out for the thrill of it all
and the extra cash is just a bonus. But that's another story.

We live in a fishing community here in the Pacific Northwest and let me tell you,
a guy from SoCal isn't embraced by 'real' fisherman.

He's had a few articles written about him in the local newspaper that brought
great table conversation for many households around here because
he goes out in a craft that's smaller than the rest.

He raises a few eyebrows and gets mocked by some
but it doesn't stop him from doing what he loves while focusing on his goal
to help out with our dream home.

Ahhh....the home is well on it's way to break ground soon! (Doin' a little dance right now.)

But here's a little something that happened last week while Gerry was out
and it's been on my mind all week because I think it's a story that
is well worth sharing.

You see, Gerry has been fishing for years but is limited by the size of his boat.

He is only able to go out weather permitting and is pretty cautious now that
he's been through enough situations where he's had the bageebies scared out of him!

They don't call this area the 'Graveyard of the Pacific' for nothing!

So Gerry went out last week and happened to find some men that he knows
fairly well, but they never share their 'secrets' as to when and where they fish.

Well guess what....now he knows!

He was out there with all his gear and totally set up to reap the rewards for his efforts.

He fished side by side with the local fishermen that have been fishing for years and years
and know the tricks of the trade.....but don't share it with anyone for fear that someone
might 'steal' their fish.

Give me a break.

Truth be told, if you think women are bad you should hear the fisherman around
here when they get to yappin'! :) It's funny!

So Gerry fished right next to his buddies and watched them as they pulled up
fish after fish, to the tune of about $4,000 worth of Black Cod.

I'm certain it must have been gut wrenching to watch,
as Gerry pulled out with about $40 worth that day.

So you may be wondering WHY there was such a difference when both parties were in
the same area fishing for the same fish and both had quite a bit experience under their belts?

Here's the difference.

1. These guys has 2 large commercial fishing vessels, while Gerry had 1 small vessel.
2. These guys had a lot more experience than Gerry.
3. These guys were using hook and line, while Gerry was using his cod pots.
4. These guys had a crew of men, while Gerry was working by himself.
5. Both parties were fully set up, Gerry was just using the wrong equipment for that day and time.

There's probably more that I could add but you get the picture.

I have to tell you though. Gerry came back with a positive attitude and laughed about
what happened which is a true sign of someone who is going to be great at what he does.

He could have come home mad at the world and blaming those guys
for 'stealing his fish' (laughing now) but he didn't.

He came home excited about all that he LEARNED from WATCHING the big boys.

That's the kind of spirit I'm attracted to!

How about you?

Are you watching those who are bigger than yourself cast their line and reap the rewards?

Are you excited about learning from those who are bigger than yourself and applying what you learn?

Are you taking notes about what they are doing differently
and taking necessary steps to change the course you're on
so you can follow in their footsteps leading to success?

It really comes down to a willingness to learn and the humility to sit under someone else
and recognize that while someday you may be the top notch leader in what ever it is that you do,
right now may be the season where you have to watch, listen and learn from those who are masters at what they do.

Be a good learner.

Get plugged in with someone who is willing to teach you all they know and begin to surround
yourself with people who will lead you in a direction that will take you to the place you want to go.

No secrets.......

With all that being said, I truly hope you walk away from this feeling pumped up and inspired.

You CAN do whatever you set your heart and mind to!
It just takes the willingness to learn, an attitude of belief in yourself and
the active pursuit to achieve your dreams.

Have an absolutely fantastic day!

I believe in you!

Here's to your success!

Whatever You Do, Don't Get Stuck Playing the Motivation Game

0
I was conversing with one of the leaders in the network marketing industry
quite some time ago and had what I call a 'light bulb moment'.

At the time I was expressing my frustration with the number of people who
'say' they want to work at home, yet never make much of a motion to build a business.
They sign up and tell me they want to work but they never take
the necessary action to progress forward and make any money.

I explained that I just didn't understand why these people didn't seem to grasp
the power of residual income. It was becoming very clear to me that
most people weren't like me. They didn't have the drive necessary to
keep themselves focused on building their dream.

Perhaps they just didn't have the tools, system, resources
or backbone to stay in the game.

http://www.MLM-MarketingSuccess.com

I asked the following question:

"What can I do to motivate these people to get to work?"

It was at that very moment when my whole concept of leadership changed.
I was gently informed that I could never motivate anyone, I could only inspire them.

Wow! I felt a heavy burden lifted from my shoulders.

It wasn't my responsibility to get these people out of bed in the morning
or call their prospects for them. They were the only ones who could conjure up
the excitement within themselves, keep their dream alive
and continue running the race set before them.

As a leader, it is my responsibility to inspire and encourage people to stay in the game.
It's my role to teach them how to build a successful business,
provide them with resources that are critical to their success,
build them up with positive input and influence,
and ultimately remind them of their dream.

You see, motivation can only come from within.

It is the responsibility of the individual to be self-motivated.
The inspiration comes from other outside sources.
In a nutshell, if you want to succeed in network marketing
and working your home based business you will have to be self-motivated.

Nobody else is going to build the business for you.

If you are working with people in your business
and you feel like you're pushing a rope, perhaps it's time to reflect
on how much more you care about their business than they do.
You'll feel a lot less burdened if you're leading others and inspiring them,
rather than trying to motivate them.

Work with the people that want to live the dream as much as you do
and you'll find the network marketing industry to be a whole lot of fun!

Here's to Your Success!

What? You Mean I Have to Set Goals and Work this Thing?

0
Network marketing can be a lot of fun, yet quite challenging in some respects. While we want to see immediate results, the truth of the matter is, we may not see results for months to come. I want to share with you some tips of the trade that I have found to be extremely helpful in my journey of network marketing.

Set Your Office Hours: First of all, it's important to set aside a specific time of the day when you intend to work on your business. You're the boss! You can choose what hours you want to work. The important thing is to find a time during the day or evening when you can really focus on being productive.

Set Your Goals: Goal setting is extremely important for anyone who wants to move towards reaching a specific achievement. Writing your goal down will solidify your comittment towards achieving your goal. Tell someone close to you what you intend to accomplish and be sure to place your written goal in a strategic place where you will be reminded of your comittment every day.

Be Consistent: Write down five activities that you really enjoy doing on a daily basis. If you're working online, these activities could include creating a broader networking base by adding friends on your favorite social networking sites, blogging, writing quality articles, posting information online that would be of benefit to a diverse group of people, video tape yourself discussing information that would reach a target audience or break out your favorite book on personal development.

Take the 90 Day Challenge: Now that you've got your five daily activities lined out it's important to put them into action. Do these activities for 90 consecutive days and you'll be amazed at the growth in your business!

Remember, network marketing takes time and anyone who tells you that your business is going to explode overnight simply isn't being honest. It's not always the person that grows their business that has the most success. We're looking for quality people to partner with who have the desire to learn, the willingness to be teachable and the confidence it takes to press on!

A Simple Formula for Calling Leads

0
Building a relationship with people is essential for you to be able to
move your business forward and find out whether or not you can
help the people who are interested in working with you or wanting
more information.

One of the first things you will want to do is determine whether
this is someone you can help by finding out whether or not they are coachable.

Nobody likes a proud person. Pride comes before a fall.

You want to work with someone who is humble enough to admit they need the help
and is willing to take your lead so they can eventually lead others.

When you are talking with others, make sure you are smiling.
The person on the other end of the phone won't be able to see you
but they will hear the smile in your voice. Nobody wants to join a grouch!

When you call, always make sure to introduce yourself and
what group / company you are representing.

Make sure to ask the person how they are doing
and if it is a good time for you to talk with them.
If it isn't a good time, ask them what time works better for them
and schedule a time when the two of you can reconnect
to go over the information they requested.

If you are calling with your upline,
be sure to introduce your leader to the person you are speaking with.

Remember, the main reason for your first contact is to help this person.
In the process, you will want to ask them a handful of questions
to assess whether or not you are going to be able to assist this person
iin their search for working at home.

Keep in mind, you should also be asking yourself whether or not
you even want to work with this person and offer your help.
Their attitude, enthusiasm and personality will all be contributing
factors in helping you with your decision.

The process I use when contacting people who request my help
is called 'FORM' and the following will provide an explanation for what 'FORM' stands for:

F= Family
O=Occupation
R=Recreation
M=Money

I don't always ask too many questions about a persons family directly.
I typically find out this information during the course of the conversation.

Here is a list of questions I do ask that may be helpful for you.
Keep in mind, these questions will vary depending upon the person you have
on the other end of the phone.

1. What do you do for a living?

2. What do you like about your J.O.B.?

3. What is your least favorite part of your J.O.B.?

4. How long have you been in Network Marketing?

5. What do you like about Network Marketing?

6. What are you greatest challenges in Network Marketing?

7. How much money would you like to make on a monthly basis?

8. What would you like to do with this extra money?

9. What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?
(If they don't know, ask them what they did for fun as a child.)

10. How much time do you have each week to commit to your business?
(If they say less than 10 hrs a week, this may not be a good client to work with because
how can you possibly help them if they don't have any time.)

11. How much money do you have to run your home based business?
(There will always be some sort of cost but more important than money is DESIRE!)

12. How serious are you about creating that income and doing those things you just mentioned?
(Have them rate themselves from 1 - 10) If they rate themselves anything less than an 8,
have them listen to the audios and get back to you when they are ready to take this seriously.

Now it is time for you to give them the info you feel is best suited for them to help them on their
journey of looking for a business to work from home. Make sure to let them know this information will add value to them as a network marketer.

Follow up in a few days to find out what they liked about the info you had sent them. Set an appointment with your upline to demonstrate the benefits of working as a team and offer to answer any questions they may have.

People Never Fail, They Just Stop Trying

0
Some of you may know I've been working out to lose a few pounds.
Raise your hand if you've ever waved that banner!
I think most of us would agree that the weight
just doesn't come off as quickly as it use to....as we 'mature' in years.

(smiles)

Anyway, I think it's been 6 months or so of me heading to the gym
or taking brisk walks in the morning or attempting to run a little. ha!
To be honest, I was SO out of shape in the beginning that my calves
would hurt pretty bad and then my legs would feel like jello...from WALKING!

Yikes!

Yet, I kept up the pace.
I didn't let that pain stop me.
I plowed through the discomfort and kept my eyes focused
on the GOOD things that were ahead of me.

Well, here it is 6 months later and while I haven't lost a ton of weight,
my body HAS changed and I've taken my fitness plan to another level.
I've made some necessary changes to my diet that WILL bring health
and promote OVERALL wellness as well as help me lose the weight
I want to lose to achieve optimal fitness.

Believe me, this has been a challenge as I have ALWAYS been thin
and I've been able to eat, drink and be merry....without much of a problem.

Well, not anymore! (singin' the 40's blues...lol)

Now, had I thrown in the towel 5 months ago
because the scale read that I hadn't lost a SINGLE pound,
where would I be today?

Back on course to lose the muscle, eat the crud
and gain even more weight than where I had started!!

So what does this all have to do with building a business from home?

Well, I'll tell you! :)

Building a business from home brings a lot of challenges
that the average Joe may not even be aware of.

We sign up, get our products in a box, get excited,
tell all our friends and make a few sales.

BUT.....

When things get tough, most people quit!

They stop trying to move ahead and they lose sight of their dream.
For one reason or another they talk themselves out of pressing forward
and plowing through the tough times that make them stronger.

What about you?
What are you doing to press forward?
What do you do when you are faced with challenges?
What do you do to motivate yourself to wake up in the morning
and work your business when you might not feel like working it?
Who are you surrounding yourself with that is going to cheer you on?
How do you respond when things just aren't going fast enough?

Look, we're all in this together.

We all share a similar dream......
A dream of independence and freedom.

Push yourself!
Don't lose sight of the prize!
Keep moving and don't allow anything or anyone to distract you!
Believe in yourself, keep your head down and take it to the next level!

Remember, it's never the people that fail,
it's just that they stopped trying.

Who Am I? My Journey of Self Discovery

0
Unlike a lot of MLM 'biz opps' being pitched today, Mentoring for Free offers something that can not be returned, exchanged or upgraded.

We undeniably offer something unique to this world as we seek to change our personal mindset so we might go and bless the socks off everyone we come into contact with.

I've personally been on a journey of healing. I began this journey to become healthy so I can in turn go out and breathe life into others, inspire their souls and build them up so they can say they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof.

I never really thought about what a defeated life I've been living....on a personal level. You know, that still small voice that says, "You're no good. Nobody wants to listen to you. You're not worth it." Self defeating talk is garbage and I've kicked it to the curb.

Authenticity begins with believing in myself and embracing who GOD says I am.

So, I've purchased my yellow notepad/journal and here is what I've written down and here is what I'M SPEAKING aloud so I'm HEARING it, too.

By the way, it's important for me to explain that when I use the words "I AM" in all caps, I am in to way proclaiming myself to be god. I am simply adding emphasis as I proclaim who I am to the nation. This is a great feeling!

Okay....here goes.

Who Am I?

I AM the Daughter of the KING!

I AM a Blessing to 10,000 People!

I AM REDEEMED. (Bought with a price....how cool is that?)

I AM Chosen.

I AM Set Apart.

I AM Unique and Created with a PURPOSE!

I OFFER Hope to the Hopeless.

I AM a Peacemaker in my Home.

I LOVE much and Embrace Everyone.

I AM Special.

I AM 'on purpose'.

Hands down....God LOVES ME!

I have a HIGHER CALLING!

I AM an INSPIRATION to others.

I Walk in the POWER of the SPIRIT.....if God is FOR me, who can be against me?

I AM an EFFECTIVE Messenger.

I AM Relevant!

I AM Yielded to HE Who has CALLED Me to a Higher Place.

I AM a Sower of the Word.

I AM Forgiven, therefore I Forgive Much.

I AM a Servant to my Neighbors.

I HAVE Wisdom Written on my Heart.

I LOVE Freely.

I AM FREE.

With that.....I'll be the first to shout a healthy and hearty "AMEN"!

Authenticity: The Freedom to Just Be You

0

Have you ever been driving down the road all by your lonesome and you broke out in song from the depths of your soul without a care in the world?

Nobody was watching.

Nobody was listening.

You were FREE to be you!

Yet, would you even DARE to grab the microphone at the local Karaoke Club? If you're like ordinary people, probably not.

Have you ever 'strutted your stuff' while demonstrating your smoothe 'old school' dance moves in the privacy of your home with your kids giggling in the background?

Uninhibited.

Unashamed.

Complete freedom to express yourself.

Yet, you just may be the person who would NEVER set foot on the dance floor at the next wedding you attend.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Why do we give others the power and control to dictate who we are or who we should be?

Why do we jump into the tight fitting, rather uncomfortable box that doesn't fit US?

Who have we given the permission to ALLOW us to be FREE? WHY???

I say, "TAKE BACK the REIGNS!"

I say, "LOVE who you were CREATED to be!"

I say, "Be COMFORTABLE in your SKIN!"

If you are a 'square peg' trying to fit in a 'circle', you are in a very uncomfortable place.

Agree?

I thought so!

Join me at Mentoring for Free and take a sneak peak at a community of square pegs who have chosen to embrace their shape, encourage each other to be the absolute BEST they can be, value authenticity and are progressive in their thinking.

Experience FREEDOM!

Embrace TRUTH!

Celebrate YOU!

Discovering Your Personality Type Can Benefit Your Network Marketing Business

0
I've often wondered why the success rate within the network marketing industry is alarmingly low.

Statistics show that if you make a whopping $200 a month, you are in the top 5% income earners in the industry. In addition, only 3% of the networkers are making any real money. The 97% of the networkers who aren't seeing any real cash flow are actually the ones who are supporting the 3% who do make money.

Before any of us jump to any conclusions, the industry isn't necessarily at fault. I wouldn't even go as far as to say that the representatives of the industry are at fault either. We must all take responsibility for our own failures and success.

I have recently been introduced to what I believe to be contributing elements to the outcome of our adventure in network marketing.

Each of us is born with a particular personality. I can personally attest to the fact that my children had a distinct personality as babies and I can still see that personality now as they have grown up into their teen years. Our personality will greatly effect how we approach others and should also be considered prior to joining a MLM or Network Marketing company.

There is a lot of literature on the market today regarding four distinct personality types. If you haven't already done so, I recommend doing some research and heading towards your local bookstore to begin learning the various personality types and applying that knowledge to your business. It will change the way you approach people and give you a greater understanding of how your personality will shape how you conduct your business.

These various personality types have been neatly categorized by colors. The colors are blue, green, yellow and red. Determining your personality type will greatly assist you in how you speak with new prospects and which company you decide to join.

The yellow personality types are generally dependable, patient and nurturing. Their voices are typically soft and gentle. They are open, yet indirect. When you ask them a question they will use as few words as possible, but will always be honest with you. The yellows are caretakers and have a tendency to place themselves last so that everyone else is taken care of. Concerning leadership, yellows are quite happy to follow others. They based life on helping others, working together as a team, place family as a priority and build relationships. They are great communicators. In relationship to business, yellow personality types will not respond well to pushy salesmen and will avoid conflict at all cost. The yellows encompass about 35% of the population.

The green personality types are relatively conservative dressers, articulate in nature, organized and great planners. Their voices are generally soft and polite. The green personality types are indirect and self-contained. This means that when you ask them a question they will not answer you immediately. They must think about the question before they will give you an answer. These people are very concerned about data and have a tendency to over think things to the point of never getting anything done. They appear to be very lonely people and often times come across as being depressed. A green personality type will not respond well to pushy salesmen or a lack of facts. These people love their data and consider if fun to read through charts, graphs and contracts. The greens encompass about 35% of the population.

It's all about the 'fun' for the blue personality types. These people are casual dressers with a flashy flare. For instance, it's all about the party for them so they will most likely be found wearing the Hawaiian shirt. Blues are the life of the party. They are loud and vibrant speakers and will always attract a crowd. Everyone is their friend and they are great communicators. The blues are open, yet direct. These personality types are very creative, yet strong on family and relationships. They are spontaneous buyers and often suffer from buyers remorse. They are fast and exciting. They dislike being 'sold', don't necessarily want to hear the facts and details. The blues represent about 15% of the population.

The red personalities are very direct and rather impersonal. They don't care about the small talk and while they are fast talkers, they are not always great listeners. They are flashy dressers and can be found wearing high end designer clothing. These people are all about the money and don't have any interest in building relationships. They can be found in the large corporate chair sitting down behind the desk while looking down at others who are sitting across from them in the small chair. These people are salespeople and expect others to sell them. These are the CEO's and the managers of the company. While they make great recruiters and salespeople, they are not great mentors. They have a great appreciation for themselves. Reds make up approximately 15% of the population.

If you are a yellow, blue or green personality you are not driven by recruiting and sales. Remember, this makes a combined total of 85% of the population. If you are involved with a company that required recruiting and sales to receive compensation, you will most likely be unsuccessful and burn out quickly. Reds do very well with this type of company and will be found at the top of the 3% while the yellows, greens and blues comprise the 97% of the organization. Remember, reds only encompass 15% of the population and certainly, not all of them are in network marketing.

All things considered, you may be able to see why not everyone is going to experience the same level of success in network marketing. Depending upon the compensation plan of your particular company, you may be driven to conduct your business in a way that does not align with your personality type. The results will most likely be frustrating to say the least.

Do your research. Take the test and figure out what your personality type is prior to joining any company. Your success is important and finding a company that fits with your personality is key to your success.

Consistency is Key to Your Network Marketing Success

0
Network marketing requires some very simple principles that demand your attention if you intend to build a successful business. While these principles may be simple, they are in no way intended to be dismissed. There is a wealth of insight that can be gleaned for anyone willing to invest the time and energy that is necessary to not only read the principles, but also apply them.

Let's take a moment to explore one very important principle, keeping in mind that while this may seem to be geared for the newcomer in network marketing, even the more polished network marketer can stand the reminder of the simplicity of what we do while in the trenches.

Making a Consistent Effort is Key!

If you're anything like me, you've taken on the challenge to achieve a specific goal and decided to plow forward with all your heart and soul to make sure you accomplish the task placed before you. Whether it is weight loss or fitness, saving for a high priced item, personal development or overcoming your fears, chances are you've set out to achieve something at some time in your life. Right?

In order for you to accomplish the task at hand, you will have to apply consistent effort and energy towards achieving the end goal. Without consistent effort, you will not reap the financial benefits and rewards that come when working consistently. Now that would be rather frustrating, would it not? So, let's be consistent!

Consistency takes discipline and for some, that just isn't easy. It's those small, often mundane tasks that are performed on a daily basis that will make a difference in driving your business forward. Left alone, these are so small that they seem almost meaningless. It's when you pull all of these small tasks together that you will begin to note progress.

Keep in mind, it's okay to work a business part-time or full-time, but never spare time. Do yourself a favor and don't expect anything positive to happen if you are working your business as if it is a hobby. You'll save yourself a lot of heartache because quite frankly, the garden isn't going to grow if the garden isn't tended.

With that in mind, establish office hours each day when you can devote time to your business, without interruption. If it's difficult for you to work your business uninterrupted, then you will need to find times during the day when you can be productive and professional at the same time, without interruption. Moms and Dads, that may mean that you will have to find a quiet place and while that may be a challenge, it is necessary.

I've heard numerous times that people just don't have the time to build their business. It's an unfortunate statement because the fact of the matter is that we all have 24 hours in every day. It's what you do with your time that displays your priorities. If you really want to be successful, you'll have to sacrifice something in order to work your business consistently and push your business to the level of success you are looking for.

Remember, this is not a race. You are working on your own time clock and while there may be some in your networking business that take off and seemingly make it to the 'top' within a very short period of time, most of you will find that success comes with consistent effort and without the limelight of being the fastest person to build a business in the shortest period of time.

Social Media Marketing: 4 Critical Areas of Focus

0
Social media marketing has become all the rage and if you're not taking advantage of this sizzling hot marketing medium, you're simply missing out!

I'll fill you in on the scoop, the whole scoop and nothing but the scoop. Sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn and BetterNetworker are just a few of the social media sites that can propel your business forward if used properly.

There are four major criteria that need to be looked at when marketing your business online.

Create an Online Presence- It is crucial that you brand your name and your story. Every successful business does this, why should your business be any different? You want to tell people about who you are, why you do what you do, how you got to where you are at today and what your unique qualities are that separate you from the rest. Be authentic! Show people your heart, strut your 'stuff' and let them know you're special!

Build Your Permission Marketing List- When you are involved in social networking sites there are certain activities that will make you or break you. You want to 'make it', right? RIGHT! Adding friends should become a ritual for you. Introduce yourself, get to know who they are and what makes them tick. You'll also want to utilize an autoresponder to help you stay in touch with the people who have given you permission to provide them with useful information via email. Keep in mind, your friends will be watching you, following you and receiving valuable information from you, their new resource.

Build Relationships- Remember, this is social 'networking'. Don't just love 'em and leave 'em. Keep in contact. Drop your new friends a line once in a while. Ask how they are doing. Engage in their lives and most importantly, be real.

Cashing In- This is the ultimate experience when you actually see the 'fruits of your labor'. It's so much fun to be able to work with someone you have taken the time to get to know, the trust has been established and now they want to partner with you in a business transaction.

Working online is an incredible experience that takes you from your immediate surroundings and allows you to become 'larger than life' by being accessible 24/7 internationally. Go out and have a blast and bless the socks off everyone you meet online!

Do You Prevent Your Prospects from Joining You?

0
The network marketing industry typically teaches their representatives to read a script and pursuede their prospect to sign up immediately. At this point, it is typical for both parties to not really even know each other. If there is no relationship, there is really no established trust.

Unfortunately, that method of madness doesn't create stability in the business structure and tends to leave the representative frustrated and feeling defeated. That was my original experience in this industry and I want to share what I believe to be a much better, more inviting and productive way to prospect.

My mentor, Michael Dlouhy with Mentoring for Free, taught me the following in so many words: point, don't pander. Now, this may sound silly but let me explain.

Pointing your prospects to different pieces of information, providing them with reports, audios, videos and emails will definitely allow them to make an informed decision about joining you. I personally have found great value in sharing our community over at Mentoring for Free. This is a great resources for those who want to learn more about this industry and it's 100% free to join.

Pointing others to resources goes hand in hand with human psychology. The majority of the population does not want to be sold or 'pitched' a business opportunity. Allowing your prospects to do their own research will give them the opportunity to make an informed decision as to whether or not your business is a good fit for them.

I have found this approach to be much more enjoyable and easier than the old school prospecting methods. I have found that I have been able to attract a higher quality prospect, one who is willing to learn and take the reigns ahead of time. They aren't expecting me to do the work for them as they take the time that is necessary to do their own research.

By allowing your prospects to investigate and make their own decision, you are ensuring that when someone does join you they are ready and fully informed.

Creating Your 90 Day Plan

0
It is important to have a realistic view of our business. Most importantly, we have to be honest with ourselves before we can be honest with others.

I truly love the network marketing industry and am saddened by the grim statistics of success. Unfortunately, 97% of those who choose this industry fail to even break even. All too often, we give up before we even get started. The question isn't whether or not the industry is legitimate. Rather, why are we getting such poor results?

I believe the answer lies within each individual and our ability to have a realistic view of our business, how much time we are willing to put forth in consistent action, how willing we are to look in the mirror and face the person who needs to grow as a leader, and how much we are willing to give to others freely.

Building a successful business takes time and regardless of what some may say, we will most likely not become a success overnight. Daily action is necessary to achieve our goals and I encourage you to put together a 90 Day Plan. Every business, large or small, works from a 90 Day Plan whether we realize it our not. Why should our network marketing business be any different?

So here's what you should do. Sit down and work up a spreadsheet that represents the next 90 days. Write down steps you are going to take on a daily basis that will help you achieve your goal. Blogging, writing articles, friend requests, videos, audios and emailing can all be a part of your daily routine. Have fun, be creative! Be realistic as to how many hours you want to work each day and stay on task. By the end of the week, you will be able to visually see how much you got accomplished. By the end of the 90 days, you should be able to see a lot of progress!

Long term results is key. Baby steps will lead to progress. Stay on task and you will be pleasantly surprised!

The 5 Pillars of Success

0
After having spent quite a number of years in the MLM and Network Marketing industry, I've come to realize there are a lot of people who are being mislead into believing they will begin making a lot of money within a short period of time.

While I do not necessarily believe people are always being mislead intentionally, I do believe it is the responsibility of each of us to really investigate the company prior to joining. Ultimately, we are the ones who are signing on the dotted line.

Most honest companies will tell you to expect 3-5 years to see any significant income with your consistent effort. Regardless of what anyone tells you, success does not happen overnight. While it may appear there are some real 'movers and shakers' in your particular business, you may be surprised if you take a closer look. Some companies allow you to purchase your position, giving the appearance of instant success. Many of the the heavy hitters have had years of experience and have brought over their downlines from other companies they were previously involved with, giving them leverage when it comes to advancements and promotions.

I want to give you five specific things you should look at prior to joining any company. This will assist you in determining the structure of the company and just how solid the foundation is.

Examine the Integrity of the Company- This is by far the most important part of joining any business opportunity. Most people don't take the time to read a contractual agreement. The companies realize this and perhaps that is why the really nasty parts of the policies will be found in the middle to the latter part of the agreement. When you are reading through your contract, take your time and have someone assist you if necessary.

Timing in the Industry and the Company - Be sure to check and see if the company has consistent growth. The company should be at least 2 - 4 years old.

Great Products Priced Right - Simply stated, does the product line have a mass of people that have a need for the product you are trying to market?

Compensation Plan - When asked how much network marketers would like to make on a monthly basis, the typical response is $10,000.00. What is your goal? Find out in advance exactly how many people you are going to need in your downline to create a residual income of the amount of money you desire. Does this sound reasonable to you? If so, you can move forward. Keep in mind, the average number of people recruited by any one person is 2.7 people. Take that to the bank!

The System - It's really important that there is a system in place that can be duplicated. If there is no system, your business will not grow. The goal is to bring highly targeted people together and you will need a system to do that effectively.

While the MLM and Network Marketing industry is certainly an amazing vehicle to create wealth from the comfort of your own home, use caution. Do your homework. Don't just jump in blindly without doing the research. It's so important to find a company that you can be proud of, knowing that you can introduce others to it and nobody will get hurt or be mislead.

What Does it Mean to 'Brand' Yourself?

1
When you are student of network marketing and social media, you'll run across a handful of buzz words that may cause you to think you're learning a second language. One of those buzz words is 'branding'.

So just exactly what is 'branding'? It's simple and will be the very first stepping stone when building your presence online.

Branding yourself is nothing short of your story. It's letting others know where you've come from, where you are now and how you got there. You have to be able to create your own identity online so others will recognize you. What you're trying to do is create a story worth memorizing.

Stop and think about it. If I were to ask you to think about someone who is famous or really important, who would come to mind? What about them do you recall first? Everyone has a story and you want to write a story that shows others just how important you are!

For example, when you visit my social media sites, you'll find that I talk a lot about myself and how I'm a stay at home mom who has several years of network marketing experience. I share the journey I was on and how that journey has brought me to where I am today. If you haven't already done so, please visit the 'about me' section of this website to learn more about my journey.

Building Your Online Presence: The Strategies Behind Social Media Marketing

0
The Social Network Marketing scene is all the rage and if you haven't implemented marketing yourself in this light, you're going to want to take a seat and familiarize yourself with this marketing medium.

It's a common misconception that social sites are limited to those who are looking to meet a mate or for the younger generations. Truth is, there is an ever growing population of mature adults who are all grown up and very familiar with the online scene! These sites provide the prefect opportunity for you to meet other like-minded individuals and it's a very important part of working online.

Hands down, the most important step you want to make before creating your profile is learning how to brand yourself online. It's really important that you click on the link and learn the effective techniques of branding before you begin creating your profiles.

After you've become the branding expert, go and create those profiles!

Another key element of networking is developing 'relationships' with people online. It's important to build trust with people and provide valuable resources and information. The more 'friends' you make online, the more likely your information will get into the hands of the right people you are looking for.

When adding friends, look for people who share a common interest. For instance, if you are a woman with children, you may consider adding other moms to your list of friends. Perhaps you have children with disabilities or health issues. Maybe you are looking for people who live in the same area as you. Whatever the case, adding others who have something in common is a great starting point. Don't forget to invite others who are currently working from home and appear to have a very successful business!

The following are social networking sites that I find myself utilizing on a regular basis. I find them easy to navigate and have had a great response and have enjoyed getting to know others who share the same vision.

MySpace

Facebook

BetterNetworker

LinkedIn

Twitter

Of course, there are a lot of other social media sites that you can join to help you build your presence online. If you're anything like me, you will find yourself utilizing some sites more often than others. The important thing is to just create your profile and begin getting your name out there!

So get started today! Just take one site at a time and have fun creating your profile. The social media sites are a fabulous way to build your online presence and begin creating the lifestyle of your dreams by helping others succeed!

Learn How You Can Effectively Market Your MLM Online

0
The internet is the most powerful tool for you to build a business that reaches far beyond your friends and family.

Say 'good-bye' to having to personally have to chase down people to talk to them about your business. There are various ways you can position yourself online to create a rock solid web presence that will bring people to you. No kidding! Keep reading.....

The world we live in today is absolutely nothing compared to the world we lived in half a century ago. Realistically, if I just think about what role the computer played in my life even 12 years ago I'm in shock. I didn't even know how to use the internet 12 years ago and now I personally don't see any reason for having a computer without the internet.

Consumers alike use the internet for just about everything!

- Research
- Consumer Purchases
- Online Advertising
- Dating
- Social Networking Sites
- Blog Marketing
- Communicating
- Homework
- Personal Development
- Selling Personal Items.....etc.

The list is endless but I think you get my point. If you aren't online you're missing a huge piece of the pie. Feeling overwhelmed? Don't worry! We all do in the beginning. Set aside some time each day to learn something new and put those things you've learned into practice. Before you know it, you'll be an expert! Expect success!

Now, the following are a few great ways for you to begin getting your name online. There will be certain aspects of marketing online that are more appealing to you than others. Start out with the things you are more comfortable with and branch out from there. Eventually, you will have your name out and people will be asking you for help!

Writing Articles
I personally enjoy writing articles for Ezine Articles and consider this to be a great tool. You can choose to write about anything you'd like but consider the audience you are trying to target. For instance, if you are trying to reach people who are interested in health and wellness, write an article about something health related. There is an opportunity for you to write a short author bio and this is where you can put a link to your website. Not only does this generate traffic to your site but it also gets your name out to the masses. Unlike a newspaper, writing an article online one time puts your information out on the internet for years to come!

Blog Marketing
A blog is nothing short of an online diary or series of short writings. It's a great way for you to allow others to get to know you by writing about something of value. Steer clear of writing about useless pieces of information. The goal is to get people to follow you. Over time, this translates into building a relationship with others and creating a relationship built on trust. Keep in mind that you want to attract people to you and not lead with your products or your business opportunity. Give them something of value and their interest will be peaked.

Social Media Marketing
If you haven't already done so, please go to Social Marketing and read the information I've provided. Social networking sites are one of my favorite ways to meet new people and believe me, I've met people from all over the country that are friends and business partners to this day!

Build Your Own Website
I have personally enjoyed using BlueVoda Web Builder and highly recommend using this. There is an affiliate marketing program attached to it so once you build your site you can make money for each referral.

Attraction Marketing
Welcome to the truth! People are looking for leaders and people they can trust. It's really not all about your products or what special you have to offer. They want to know about you! This information has completely changed my mindset!
