Building a relationship with people is essential for you to be able to
move your business forward and find out whether or not you can
help the people who are interested in working with you or wanting
more information.
One of the first things you will want to do is determine whether
this is someone you can help by finding out whether or not they are coachable.
Nobody likes a proud person. Pride comes before a fall.
You want to work with someone who is humble enough to admit they need the help
and is willing to take your lead so they can eventually lead others.
When you are talking with others, make sure you are smiling.
The person on the other end of the phone won't be able to see you
but they will hear the smile in your voice. Nobody wants to join a grouch!
When you call, always make sure to introduce yourself and
what group / company you are representing.
Make sure to ask the person how they are doing
and if it is a good time for you to talk with them.
If it isn't a good time, ask them what time works better for them
and schedule a time when the two of you can reconnect
to go over the information they requested.
If you are calling with your upline,
be sure to introduce your leader to the person you are speaking with.
Remember, the main reason for your first contact is to help this person.
In the process, you will want to ask them a handful of questions
to assess whether or not you are going to be able to assist this person
iin their search for working at home.
Keep in mind, you should also be asking yourself whether or not
you even want to work with this person and offer your help.
Their attitude, enthusiasm and personality will all be contributing
factors in helping you with your decision.
The process I use when contacting people who request my help
is called 'FORM' and the following will provide an explanation for what 'FORM' stands for:
F= Family
O=Occupation
R=Recreation
M=Money
I don't always ask too many questions about a persons family directly.
I typically find out this information during the course of the conversation.
Here is a list of questions I do ask that may be helpful for you.
Keep in mind, these questions will vary depending upon the person you have
on the other end of the phone.
1. What do you do for a living?
2. What do you like about your J.O.B.?
3. What is your least favorite part of your J.O.B.?
4. How long have you been in Network Marketing?
5. What do you like about Network Marketing?
6. What are you greatest challenges in Network Marketing?
7. How much money would you like to make on a monthly basis?
8. What would you like to do with this extra money?
9. What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?
(If they don't know, ask them what they did for fun as a child.)
10. How much time do you have each week to commit to your business?
(If they say less than 10 hrs a week, this may not be a good client to work with because
how can you possibly help them if they don't have any time.)
11. How much money do you have to run your home based business?
(There will always be some sort of cost but more important than money is DESIRE!)
12. How serious are you about creating that income and doing those things you just mentioned?
(Have them rate themselves from 1 - 10) If they rate themselves anything less than an 8,
have them listen to the audios and get back to you when they are ready to take this seriously.
Now it is time for you to give them the info you feel is best suited for them to help them on their
journey of looking for a business to work from home. Make sure to let them know this information will add value to them as a network marketer.
Follow up in a few days to find out what they liked about the info you had sent them. Set an appointment with your upline to demonstrate the benefits of working as a team and offer to answer any questions they may have.
